JEDDAH: As part of its community support initiatives, Alawwal Bank recently signed a partnership agreement with Disabled Children’s Association in Riyadh to support the work of the charitable organization under the program “Mubadarati.”
In addition to providing financial support, Alawwal Bank has pledged to help spread awareness of the association’s programs and activities and highlight the vital role the association plays in the care and rehabilitation of young people with special needs.
The agreement was signed by Soren Nikolajsen, managing director of Alawwal Bank; and Khalid bin Sulaiman Al-Fuhaid, assistant secretary-general, at the association’s headquarters in Riyadh.
During the visit, the bank delegates were briefed on the rehabilitation programs offered by the association for the care of children with disabilities. The focus of the discussion were the activities aimed at enabling the children to overcome their challenges, integrate them into the community and rehabilitate them physically and psychologically.
Nikolajsen lauded the association’s efforts to provide an inclusive environment and stimulate the children’s abilities, thus ensuring that this important group of society is well taken care of.
He underlined that the association’s work is fully aligned with the bank’s commitment to strengthen its ties with charities and humanitarian organizations in the Kingdom, aiming to give back to the local communities.
Alawwal Bank will provide not only financial contributions, but also leverage its own communication channels to help raise public awareness about the activities of the association and highlight its role in the care and rehabilitation of children with disabilities.
As the Kingdom’s oldest bank, Alawwal has a track record of working with social and charitable organizations and establishing partnerships that bridge the gap between the worlds of business and charity in Saudi Arabia.
