Alvarez & Marsal (A&M), a leading global professional services firm, has appointed Saudi national Dina Abo-Onoq as chief country manager for Saudi Arabia.
Abo-Onoq’s appointment dovetails with growing demand for A&M’s services in Saudi Arabia and further aligns the firm with the Kingdom’s future vision and Saudization efforts. Abo-Onoq is the first Saudi woman to be named as a chief country manager for a professional services firm such as A&M, a statement said.
Abo-Onoq has over 18 years of experience in the wealth management industry, advising corporate executives and high net-worth clients. At A&M she will be responsible for building and cultivating client relationships and growing the firm’s presence in the Kingdom.
Dr Saeeda Jaffar, co-head of A&M Middle East, said: “I am delighted that we are being joined by a seasoned professional with such relevant experience and expertise. Our two-prong focus on strategic advice and implementation has proven to be very successful in helping KSA institutions transform in line with Vision 2030. Dina’s appointment illustrates our commitment to the region and its goals. She will be an extremely valuable asset to our clients and our team.”
Before joining A&M, Abo-Onoq was head of Business Development for CA Indosuez Wealth Management. Prior to that role, she was director of Business Development for LGT, the private banking and asset management group. Abo-Onoq also spent five years at Merrill Lynch in Saudi Arabia, and three years with BNP Paribas.
Abo-Onoq said: “I am excited to be joining such a reputable firm and leading its expansion into Saudi Arabia, as the Kingdom undergoes its economic and social reform program with the implementation of the leadership’s Vision 2030. I believe my experience and network stand A&M in great stead to build a credible operation in the Kingdom. I look forward to helping A&M’s Middle East clients continue to grow and to maximize value.”
