BURAIDAH — The mobile unit of the Civil Affairs is visiting girls schools in Buraidah and Onaizah as part of a campaign titled “My identity is my belonging”. The campaign will continue until the end of the week.
The Civil Affairs Department has started an initiative under the slogan “we will come to you” to serve the government and private departments right at their places, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Tuesday.
The campaign is aimed at enlightening girl students in the region about the importance of their national ID as a practical proof of their nationality and the significance of keeping it safe.
The mobile unit will issue IDs to interested girl students who have reached the age eligible for obtaining the national ID.
Spokesman for the Civil Affairs Mohammed Al-Jasser said the service was within the social responsibility initiative of the department, which will inform the students about the services that may be provided to them. “The mobile units will cover all parts of the Kingdom and will serve both Saudi men and women,” he added.
The unit can issue and renew the ID card, issue the family registry for mothers and document marriages, divorces and deaths.
