AL HUDAYDAH, YEMEN: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) continues to implement a WASH sector project for inhabitants of Al Hudaydah’s Al Khawkhah district to provide clean water and protect the health of local residents.
Between 26 March to 2 April 2020, the project pumped 296,000 liters of safe drinking water into holding tanks, and 330,000 liters were provided for other household uses. Other components of the project include the collection and transportation of solid waste to local landfills in the district, sewage suction, and periodic maintenance of bathrooms and water tanks. A spraying campaign was also conducted to combat disease vectors for malaria. The number of project beneficiaries has reached 34,614.
KSrelief has implemented more than 400 impartial, multisector projects to help the Yemeni people during the ongoing conflict in their country.
