YEMEN: King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) continues to distribute aid throughout Yemen. Most recent shipments included shelter kits, boxes of dates, and Ramadan food baskets to assist targeted beneficiaries, including flood victims, in Hadramawt, Al Hudaydah and Ma’rib. Aid was delivered in cooperation with the Benevolence Coalition for Humanitarian Relief (BCHR).
On 12 May, 250 Ramadan food baskets were distributed in the Ghayl Ba Wazir district of Hadramawt to assist 1,500 people affected by the quarantine measures being implemented due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In Ma’rib, 100 tents, 600 blankets, and 200 rugs were distributed to 600 IDPs forced to flee their homes due to flooding in Al Jawf; the IDPs have settled in five parts of Ma’rib. 1,500 boxes of dates were distributed to 1,500 families in the Medghal district of Ma’rib, and 1,925 boxes of dates were distributed to 1,925 families in the Al Khawkhah and Al Durayhimi districts of Al Hudaydah.
KSrelief also recently launched an urgent food and shelter aid distribution project to help people affected by heavy rains and flooding in several parts of Yemen.
