SENEGAL: A team from the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) recently delivered 50 tons of dates to Senegal to be distributed during the holy month of Ramadan – part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Gift of Dates project. In the presence of Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Senegal, Fahad Al Dossari, and the Secretary-General for Development and Planning of Social Action, in the capital, Dakar.
Ambassador Fahad Al Dossari said that, thanks to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, the dates were scheduled to reach targeted beneficiaries before the start of Ramadan.
The Secretary-General for Development and Planning of Social Action extended her sincere thanks on behalf of the President of Senegal, His Excellency Macky Sall, to the Kingdom and its leadership for providing ongoing support to Senegal across all sectors; he also thanked KSrelief for coordinating the delivery of the aid.
The Kingdom’s “Gift of Dates” program is just one of the initiatives Saudi Arabia’s leadership has implemented through KSrelief to provide comprehensive and impartial support to people in need around the world.
