AMMAN, JORDAN: King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) distributed 2,000 food baskets today to Jordanians, Palestinians and Syrians in need throughout Jordan, providing urgent nutritional assistance to families in several governorates. The food aid is being provided by KSrelief during the holy month of Ramadan in cooperation with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization. Some 700 food baskets were handed out in Amman, 500 in Madaba, and 800 in Balqa; 10,000 residents benefitted from the food aid.
The distribution was part of a larger project to deliver 41,595 food baskets in Jordan to beneficiary families in accordance with safety measures to protect both aid workers and beneficiaries during the COVID-19 pandemic.
