BURAO, SOMALIA: King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) recently launched a project to build a rehabilitation center in Burao, Somalia, for former Somali refugees repatriating from Yemen. This center will benefit 8,040 people at a cost of USD 2,000,000. The project is being implemented in cooperation with the International Organization for Migration (IOM).
The Assistant Director of the KSrelief Branch Office in Africa, Yusuf Bakhit Al Balushi, said that this project will facilitate the safe movement and sustainable reintegration of returnees and provide them with ongoing resettlement support.
The Projects Director of IOM in Somaliland, Liban Mahmoud Issa, stated that the center in Burao will provide returnees with a wide range of services, and will also act as a central location to provide assistance from various organizations and supporting agencies. Burao’s Mayor, Mohamed Yusuf Murad, thanked KSrelief for its comprehensive support for the people of the Somalia.
