King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center launched yesterday in Talh District, Shabwa Governorate, labor-intensive projects aimed at implementing programs to increase employment opportunities and improving infrastructure in the targeted governorates, providing jobs for 160 people directly and 800 people indirectly.
The project is part of Yemen’s livelihood improvement activities funded by the Center, which aims to provide short-term employment opportunities, rehabilitate unskilled labor, and provide an income stream for many households who are experiencing difficulties.
The coordinator of the sector of labor-intensive projects Eng. Jihad Balateef said that the sector implements 14 projects, targeting five governorates of Yemen, Hadramout, Al-Jouf, Shabwa, Aden and Lahj, benefiting 1,600 people from direct employment.
The inauguration was attended by a number of officials, a number of sheiks from the beneficiary areas and a large number of citizens.
