AKKAR, LEBANON: Today, King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) launched the second phase of its Al-Amal Charitable Bakery project in the Akkar province of northern Lebanon; the project is being carried out in collaboration with the White Hands Association.
The charity bakery will distribute 6,000 bags of bread a day free of charge to Lebanese, Palestinian and Syrian families. The center had earlier signed an agreement to extend the project for a second phase of six months.
The project aims to distribute two bags of bread per day for each family (15,000 individuals/3,000 families), including 2,100 Syrian families, 450 Lebanese families, and 450 Palestinian families.
The project is just one of many initiatives being implemented by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by KSrelief, to provide various forms of assistance to people in need around the world.
