AMMAN, JORDAN: Health care facilities sponsored by King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) at the Zaatari refugee camp in Jordan provided medical services to many patients.
Yesterday, internal medicine clinics received 51 patients with chronic diseases such as hypertension, diabetes and asthma. Pediatric clinics received 43 patients, the ER received 16 patients, and the dental clinics received 12 patients.
The women’s clinic also received 64 women, the ENT clinic saw 11 patients suffering from such conditions as infections of the sinuses, pharynx, tonsils and middle ear. Lab testing was also carried out for 5 patients; two patients had x-rays taken, and 168 prescriptions were provided.
The overall goal of the clinics is to achieve an optimal level of health care services for the camp’s residents; all services are provided free of charge. KSrelief provides comprehensive humanitarian assistance to Syrian refugees and IDPs living in Syria, Jordan and elsewhere in the region.
