NOUAKCHOTT, MAURITANIA: King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) recently delivered 100 tons of dates to Mauritania to provide a nutritional support and enhance food security in the country as part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s annual “Gift of Dates” program.

The Assistant Commissioner of the Mauritanian Food Security Commission, Mohamed Ould Mohamed El-Eid Khayer, explained that the food aid provided would be distributed to the needy, adding that the fruitful cooperation between the Commission and KSrelief reflects the deep ties between the people of Saudi Arabia and Mauritania. He stated that this support affirms the keenness of the leaders of both countries, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and the President of the Republic of Mauritania, HE Mohamed Ould Ghazouani, to consolidate cooperation between the two countries across all sectors.

He indicated that the Kingdom seeks to extend aid to all affected peoples, and to support the efforts undertaken by Mauritania to provide for all of its citizens.

The Kingdom’s “Gift of Dates” program is just one of the initiatives the Kingdom’s leadership has implemented through KSrelief to provide comprehensive and impartial support to people in need around the world.
