Prince Abdullah attends UBT graduation ceremony

JEDDAH — Prince Abdullah Bin Bandar, deputy governor of Makkah region, patronized the graduation ceremony of 460 students from the University of Business and Technology (UBT) for the academic year 2018.

Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Abdullah Dahlan, chairman of UBT, said: “Graduating students represent a great national energy, which will be relied on to lead the nation to renaissance and contribute in pushing it towards growth.”

In his name and on behalf of the graduates, Dahlan conveyed his thanks to the deputy governor of Makkah region and for sharing the joy of the graduates at this festive ceremony.

He said graduating students reflect the nation’s strength.

He stressed that the university will work to achieve the aspirations of young people in line with the vision of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, as well as his call to students to adhere to the piety of God, obedience to the king, then the homeland, honesty and dedication to work.

Prof. Osama A. Jannadi, rector of UBT, called on the new graduates to play an active role and make a change in society, underlining the important role of the university as part of the solid higher education system in Saudi Arabia in terms of equipping students with essential skills required in the labor market today.

He expressed his hope that the university will make more achievements in the coming years and conveyed his sincere congratulations to the graduates and thanked parents and teachers who had contributed to their excellence.

At the end and in a colorful parade ceremony, Prince Abdullah presented the certificates to the students and wished them all the luck in their lives.
