The cyclone affected Yemeni families living along the coastal areas of the governorate. Worst-hit by cyclone Luban was the city of Ghaydah, which reported immense damage to the infrastructure and network services as well as residential homes. KSRelief, since its establishment in 2015, has implemented 469 projects in 42 countries worldwide. Tajikistan is the second-biggest recipient of KSRelief aid after Yemen.
The center is also working to rehabilitate 241 children recruited by the terrorist Houthi militias from several Yemeni governorates. It also recently launched a vocational training program for women in Yemen’s Shabwah governorate. The program is part of KSRelief’s continuous efforts to improve livelihoods in Yemen.
The program will train 100 women over two months in four vocations: Hairdressing, sewing and embroidery, making pastries and sweets, and making perfume and incense.
