JEDDAH: The permanent representative of Saudi Arabia to the UN in New York, Ambassador Abdallah Al-Mouallimi, said that Saudi Arabia supports all international and regional efforts to end the conflict in Syria and believes that the solution to the Syrian crisis will not be through military operations or chemical weapons, which have exposed the country and the Syrian people to the worst forms of destruction.

In his address to the Security Council, he added that a political solution is the only solution to the Syrian crisis, which is based on Security Council Resolution 2254.
