Time: October 27, 2018

RIYADH – Online education platform Udacity, in partnership with the MiSK Foundation, held an event today in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to celebrate more than 1,000 graduates of the MiSK Udacity Connect program and connect them with potential employers.

Gathering together students and alumni from KSA, the event included presentations covering everything from pitching projects and landing new jobs, to career change and entrepreneurial success, as well as panel discussions with alumni who shared their career advancement strategies. Participating companies include IBM, LinkedIn, Microsoft, STC, Mozn, Noon, Nokia, and Zain.

“Beyond Education” provided the local Udacity community with an opportunity to hear inspiring success stories, get valuable insights, as well as network with employers and make meaningful career connections.

“Udacity is proud to be part of this national capability-building program for technology skills in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,” says Hisham Elaraby, Regional Director at Udacity. “Our graduates have shown an inspiring level of commitment and technical proficiency. We are confident they will be the next wave of tech talent that will work on Saudi Arabia’s most important technology challenges. This event is to celebrate our graduates and introduce them to the wider tech ecosystem.

Udacity has partnered with the Prince Muhammad bin Salman Foundation (MiSK) foundation in February 2017 to launch the MiSK Udacity Connect Program.

The program awards 2,650 scholarships to Saudi nationals and provides them with the knowledge and the skills needed to work in the technology field in KSA. Topics offered include Mobile Development, Web Development and Machine Learning.
