KSrelief Signs Joint Agreement for a School Kits Project for Children in Sudan

RIYADH, SAUDI ARABIA: King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) signed a joint agreement yesterday to implement a project in Sudan entitled “Provision of School Kits for Children in Sudan”. The agreement was signed virtually by Eng. Ahmed Al Baiz, KSrelief’s Assistant Supervisor General of Operations and Programs, at KSrelief headquarters in Riyadh.

The agreement aims to provide educational aid and school enrollment support for the children of poor and crisis-affected families in schools in the city of Port Sudan in the Red Sea State. It also aims to contribute to motivating these children to continue their education. The project will benefit 1,500 children.

This agreement comes within the efforts made by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by KSrelief, to support Sudan’s education sector and help to limit factors leading to increased student dropout rates.

KSrelief Distributes Shelter Support to Sudan Flood Victims

KHARTOUM, SUDAN: King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) recently distributed food and shelter support to flood victims in Sudan as part of an aid airlift sent to the country by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Some 600 food baskets (64.2 tons) were distributed in the Um Derman area of the Khartoum state. 3,600 people benefitted from this aid, which is being provided within the framework of an ongoing relief program to help those affected by recent flooding in various parts of Sudan.

KSrelief Distributes Shelter Aid to Flood Victims in Sudan’s Sinar State

SINAR, SUDAN: King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief), in cooperation with Al-Egtinam Organization for Human Development, distributed shelter materials yesterday to residents of the Nile neighborhood of Abu Hajjar in the Sudanese state of Sinar. The aid, which included tents, blankets, mattresses and shelter kits, will provide urgent assistance to those affected by recent floods in the area, and is part of a larger flood-relief project being carried out by KSrelief in various parts of the Republic of Sudan.

KSrelief has delivered 90 tons of food and emergency aid to flood victims as follows: 300 tents, 300 shelter kits, 1,800 blankets, 16 tons of food baskets and 40 tons of dates; beneficiary areas include affected parts of the Khartoum, Sinar and Al Jazeera states. A total of 31,980 people will benefit from this aid, which is part of the comprehensive relief work being done by the Kingdom, represented by KSrelief, to provide urgent assistance to the Sudanese people in light of the various challenges and crises in the country.
